I chose this picture because I am teaching waves and I have recently learned that snake's bodies travel both longitudinally and transversely.
I am not sure how to check the copyright stuff? Not sure I would use this for finding images to use in class, clip art is so useful. I might look into using it for personal photos.
If you search for images of waves using Flickr you will find some amazing photos. There is an advanced search feature in Flickr, which you will see to the right of the Search box, that allows you to narrow down your search. Down near the bottom of the Advanced Search page you will see an area labeled Creative Commons. Use any of these photos freely for educational purposes without worrying about copyright. Whenever possible, still try to credit the owner.
